Searching - Google features

The different features of Google enable breaking down to achieve more targeted results, particularly useful is domain search (eg .edu or .gov) and PDF search. Advanced searches allow for using Boolean operators to achieve more specific or broad results. Google Images useful for students and can give pictorial understanding of concepts, but need to ensure copyright is adhered to. Google earth and maps good for geography teachers. Google Scholar contains scholarly articles on topics, these may be useful for teachers and upper secondary students but may be too advanced for lower.

Search cube http://www.search-cube.com/  is a useful search engine which displays results by images on a cube. A brief description is provided including whether is a video, image or website
